Greg

Weekdays 6am - 10am

Greg loves animals, especially cats. His Northeast Portland home is a cat sanctuary, where three felines (Kudzu, Lyla & Dixie) reside, alongside him (he's recently single!).

Greg is also an avid record collector. The top floor of his home contains several thousand new/used LPs and CDs. When Greg isn't combing record stores he's most likely enjoying some Mexican food and relaxing with an ice-cold beer while reading a copy of Mojo magazine.

He also exercises five days a week and wakes up at an ungodly hour (and drinks insane amounts of iced coffee) just to host the morning show.

Gustav

Weekdays Noon - 7pm

I'm originally from the heart of Silicon Valley in California, and admittedly my radio career got off to a shaky start in 4th grade. Bringing a cassette recorder to school and "interviewing" fellow students during lunch hour seemed a good idea at the time, but after having my lunch money taken from me and a few parent/teacher conferences on my behalf, I decided to put my career on hold. Once I attended Lewis and Clark College here in Portland, I was able to pursue my radio dreams once again by getting involved with the college station there. Between studies for two majors (International Affairs and German), I spent time spinning both Alternative and mix sets. During my year of study in Munich, Germany, I held residence at a club, and that paved the way for DJing for events once back here in Portland in the early '90s. I was lucky enough to join 94/7 in the Spring of 1995, and aside from an 8 month hiatus in late 2003 to mid 2004 to consult with German scientists on an upcoming technology summit, have called this station home ever since! While I have a tremendous amount of love and nostalgia for my favorite bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Clan of Xymox, The Cure, The Smiths, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, etc... I'm also digging the new stuff we spin, as every day brings something new.

Since 1993, I have been known to create my own electronic music, although by no means am I a professional musician! I have done some of my own remix and production work in a home studio. Gear includes: Mac G5 (dual processor 1.8 Mhz), E=Mu USB controller, Vestax 2 channel mixer, Mackie VLZ 1202 multi-channel mixer, Denon PMA Amplifier, K-Rok monitors, and 2 Technics 1200 turntables. Software-wise, I'm a big fan of Reason, but have used everything from Cubase to Digital Performer to Pro Tools. I'm also a huge proponent of Rane Serrato Scratch, which is a great DJ tool for making mixes. On my free time, I spend time playing with our son, hitting the gym, enjoying a few "guilty pleasure" TV shows, and contributing to my pathetic TechnoSexual existence by purchasing new things that I don't really need and that will be obsolete as soon as I walk out of the store with them...

Squid

Weekdays 7pm - 9pm
Saturday 7pm - Midnight

Hi, I’m Squid.
I am an Oregonian, born and raised. I graduated for Clackamas High School. GO CAVS! My parents grew up in the lovely town of Aberdeen in Washington. If you know your grunge you know that is where Kurt Cobain was from. They lived a couple houses away from him and one of my mom’s best friends actually baby sat him as a kid. I played sax in high school and that is the only instrument that I can play besides guitar hero.
I haven’t always been a photo guy. I kind of grew my love for it after my Harley Fatboy was stolen in 2004. I needed a new hobby and photography was it. You can check out my stuff at my website www.squidvicious.com I use a discontinued Canon it’s a DSLR 20D. But it’s not about the camera it’s about the lens and more important it’s about the subject. I have seen some great photo’s coming from plastic camera’s with a plastic lens. I bought my camera because a friend of a friend had that camera and I loved what he was doing.

Prod Bri

Weekdays 10pm - Midnight

My name is Brian, you know might now me better as Producer Brian from Alternative Mornings and The Bottom Forty, I’m self a proclaimed Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Refreshments, Chicago Blackhawks, Oingo Boingo, Cat sitting, Blues Brothers quoting, Baseball loving, Guinness drinking, Hockey sweater collecting, Northern Exposure watching, guitar playing, music loving geek. Pretty much in that order too.

I got into this crazy world of radio almost 20 years ago, started right out of high school, thought it would be a fun thing to do while I figure out what I wanted to do in college and my life…still trying to figure that out!
